This hospital has been built for us to our specifications by the Rashid Memorial Welfare Organisation and leased to us for 50 years at a nominal rent of Rs 100 per month. It has replaced the one located at Tando Adam, which has been converted into a Primary Eye Care centre (PEC). The hospital will provide Free Eye Care services to 8 million people living in its catchment area of Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar and Nawabshah Districts.

It is located 30 km from Sialkot and about 45 km from Gujranwala and will provide Free Eye Care services to 7 million people living in Pasrur as well as, Sialkot, Narowal and Gujranwala Districts thus rolling back the growth of curable blindness in its catchment areas.
