The House of Deepak Perwani loved for its vibrance and captivating use of color and print has put together in collaboration with Gul Ahmed four beautiful and meaningful silk scarf designs that a must for every wardrobe.
Pakistan’s top 7 beautiful and inspiring celebrities have come together to endorse this fantastic initiative by DP and GA with a I SUPPORT LRBT – DO YOU? campaign which is making airwaves across the fashion world. We are extremely thankful to Ayesha Tammy Haq, Maria Wasti, Sarwat Gilani, Ayesha Khan, Sarah Sarfaraz, Faiza Ansari, Areeba Habib for supporting LRBT and model for the scarf collection.
This year’s scarf campaign is coined The Story of LRBT dedicated to the people whose lives have been touched over the span of 28 years of LRBT’s existence. The most common eye disease in Pakistan is cataract which then leads to blindness. Millions in Pakistan are suffering from it and wait for a miracle, as they cannot afford a surgery. LRBT is fighting against curable blindness in Pakistan and so far treated more than 27 million patients absolutely FREE. Adult cataract surgery costs around Rs.3, 000 at LRBT which is only possible through your zakat and donations.
Each scarf priced at Rs. 3000 is the exact cost of one surgery that you can give to make a difference to a life. These limited edition scarves are perfect to wear with both eastern kurtas or to sharply accessorize western wear. You can choose from one of the four funky, bold, exquisite designs: the colors of joy, a journey through Pakistan, the global scarf and the clockwork orange.
Undoubtedly a fashionable collectible for a worthy cause. Each striking print sends a unique message to hold on to. The colours of joy scarf depicts how LRBT brings color in the lives of people affected by blindness/color blindness. A journey through Pakistan reflects Pakistan’s vibrant ethnicity and culture and LRBTs journey through Pakistan. LRBT reaches people all over Pakistan so that anyone affected anywhere can be cured. The global scarf was designed keeping in mind the current situation in the world. This is a great medium to bring forward public service messages to create people awareness. The clockwork orange highlights the importance of time. It depicts how by reaching the nearest hospital can change the lives of people and give them a reason to smile.
