Arifwala Hospital, (Near Sahiwal) Punjab

  • LRBT’s 16th Free Eye Hospital in Arifwala (District Pakpattan) on Qaboola Road about 45 KM from Sahiwal was inaugurated by Begum Asmat Fatima on 18th January 2009.
  • It serves a population of approximately 8 million residing in Pakpattan Sahiwal, Vehari, Okara and Bahawalnagar districts.
  • The hospital is built on land donated by Raja Aftab Saeed and Begum Asmat Fatima who have also funded the bulk of the cost of construction and is dedicated to the memory of their son Raja Ehteshamullah who died so tragically in the World Trade Centre disaster in September 2001. Significant donations were also received from a donor from UAE, Mr. Munir Gondal, Bank Al Falah and friends of Raja Aftab Saeed. Equipment, furniture and ancillaries have been funded by LRBT America to honour the decade long service of Dennis Dunn to the cause of preventing curable blindness in Pakistan.
  • It has 40 beds and a state of the art operation theatre.
  • Each day on average over 230 outpatients are seen and over 30 major and minor surgeries performed free.
